Hats off to Aaron Korsh, the creator and showrunner of Suits who has given us six seasons' worth of amazing characters. Thanks to him, plus a team of crack TV writers and, of course, the amazing cast who brings Suits to life, Harvey, Mike, Donna, Rachel, and Louis feel like members of the family by now. USA Network chatted with Korsh about one character in particular to get his take on just what it is about that Harvey Specter guy...
Harvey Is Tremendously Loyal
"I think loyalty is number-one on his list of character traits that he would like to possess himself, and that he would like those around him to possess. Sometimes that sense of loyalty gets messed up when his perspective is off but, for the most part, I think Harvey's an incredibly loyal person. It's at the top of the list of things I value highly in myself and in him."
He's a Caring Person (Deep Down, Anyway)
"Springing forth from that, to me, loyalty to the people who are close to you is connected to caring about them. You're not loyal for no reason, right? Harvey cares deeply about the people around him. That matters. I think it's always been there, even though it has emerged more to the viewer over time. It's always been in there in Harvey's mind."

Let's Face It: He's Witty Too
"Harvey's very funny. I feel like he holds himself in high esteem but has a sense of humor about that fact."
Harvey Is Great at What He Does
"Harvey's cocky, but he knows he's cocky. Deep down inside, he doesn't think he's more worthy than anyone else. That said, he does think he's better at s--- than most people. I like that about him. Ultimately, he's competitive -- and maybe he's too competitive? -- but he doesn't want to ever back down."
He Never Gives Up
"If Harvey can't win the argument with his wits and his words, he's going to choose his fists. It's all connected to the fact that he's not going to lose. He'll use whatever will get him by."
Harvey (Almost) Always Knows the Right to Say
"Harvey is a little bit of a superhero to me. He's rarely at a loss of what to do or what to say. In most people's real lives, you don't have time to spend 10 minutes thinking of the perfect thing to say to come across as so witty and intelligent -- whereas, we can spend 10 minutes thinking up what Harvey's going to do or say, and it'll sound like it's instantaneous to Harvey."
He Treats Everyone Equally
"I guess I would say that Harvey generally likes people and treats them as his equals in a certain way. Even Louis! Even when Harvey gives Louis s---, he likes Louis. Harvey can think he's better than them at things, but he doesn't think he's more worthy of a human than anybody else. I think that's part of what makes him likeable to me."
