Let's be clear about something: Suits creator Aaron Korsh is well aware of the fans out there who would like to see Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) officially become a couple.
Now, let's be clear about something else: we don't know what his plans are for the fate of #Darvey. But Korsh was cool enough to weigh the pros and cons of the possible love connection between one of TV's most "shipped" couples. Here's what we learned...
On giving the fans what they want
"From a simplistic level, the pro of getting them together is getting that chunk of people who want it. I don't know what the percentage of people are who you would call 'Darvey shippers,' but I know that they're louder than the percentage who aren't, and that they think that they comprise 240% of viewers. So, it would be giving that contingent what they want. And that's a big pro, right?"
On the original 'will they or won't they?' couple
"When I wrote the pilot, I wasn't like, 'Harvey and Donna are destined to be together,' or even, 'Are they going to be the big "will they or won't they?"' But we definitely went through that with Mike and Rachel. Do we keep them together, and what do we do about that? I think we've been somewhat successful in both keeping them together and still maintaining some dramatic tension in their relationship, but Harvey and Donna are different because I don't feel like people necessarily are going to want to see them having major conflict if they were to get together."

On the non-Darvey constituency
"I think there’s a group of people who really respect that Harvey and Donna have never gotten together. They like that and they would actually be disappointed if they did get together from a character perspective. I also think there are some people who just don't think they're right for each other. There are some people who root for Harvey and Scottie. And I know there are some people who root for Harvey and Mike to be together ... I certainly get tweets from them!"
On what would happen next
"To me, I think about it more from storytelling standpoint -- what do we want to do and how do we maintain the show over time? The other thing is if you get a couple together -- unless you want to eventually split them apart -- that precludes meeting new love interests for either one of those people down the line."
On the art of the tease
"I sometimes think people enjoy anticipation and yearning more than they give those feelings credit. Sometimes you like being teased with a scene like that. I might think you hate being disappointed by it, but, I've gotten many tweets over the years from people who say, 'If you don't give me them together, I'm going to stop watching your show.' They'll send me the same tweet four years later and I'm like, 'I thought you stopped watching the show!'"
