Louis’s very lovely, very successful sister arrives at Pearson Specter Litt in search of an attorney to handle her divorce – but she doesn’t want her brother, she wants Harvey.  Taken aback at first, Louis eventually agrees to try and convince Harvey to take his sister’s case.  And though bad blood still simmers between the name partners, Harvey finds himself caving when Louis appeals to his soft spot for familial loyalty. 

Elsewhere, Mike is excited to talk settlements with Robert Zane when the offer from Kelton insurance comes in, but tensions between the young lawyer and his future father-in-law flare when Mike can’t stomach the number.  Robert agrees to bring a counter-offer to the Kelton lawyers against his own best judgment, but when Mike’s plan to secure a bigger windfall for their clients backfires, it leads to greater tensions between the two attorneys. 

Meanwhile, Harvey plans to take the emotional complications out of the divorce proceedings by putting Esther on the sidelines while launching a typically aggressive negotiation against her soon-to-be ex.  But when allegations of broken promises and infidelity surface, the case threatens to become a lot more thorny for everyone involved.

  Katrina is a favorite character of the producers and they look for opportunities to bring her back as often as possible – but actress Amanda Schull’s leading role as Dr. Cassandra Railly on SyFy’s 12 Monkeys makes scheduling difficult. When they are able to swing it, though, the “so happy to see you again” camaraderie (shared on screen here between Mike and Katrina at Zane’s office) is as real for the actors and crew as it is for the characters.

  Speaking of camaraderie, Mike and Katrina’s signature shared pop culture moment is a lengthy expletive cribbed from The Wire. But while it’s not the first time Suits has referenced that series, it recently came to light that most of the writers have not actually seen it. Thus, the writers have formed a pact to watch the series together – so viewers should not be surprised if the characters become suddenly, vicariously obsessed.

  The striking glass-and-steel lobby Mike and Robert Zane cross through after their showdown with their rival attorneys actually isn’t an office building at all. Roy Thomson Hall is home to the Toronto International Film Festival and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. And Mike and Zane are hardly the first high-powered pair to tangle there; the building was also the site of an exchange by super-frenemies Magneto and Xavier in 2000’s X-Men film.

  For the most part, crewmembers and producers choose the wall art, props and other visual flourishes that distinguish the show’s many sets. But cast members also do some accessorizing in order to feel at home in their on-set offices. For instance, the picture of shoes that Zane once poked fun at in Mike’s office isn’t just any photo print; the shot was actually taken by actor Patrick J. Adams. And Jack Soloff’s office is stocked with golf clubs so John Pyper-Ferguson can practice his short game between takes.

  Along with their office décor, characters are outfitted with recurring props; for example, Rachel can almost always be seen with a particular silver pen. But in the scene where Rachel and Harvey confront Jeffrey Edelstein for the first time, Rachel’s pen disappeared in between takes – setting up a continuity problem if it couldn’t be found. But, thinking quickly, actress Meghan Markle snatched a matching eyebrow pencil from her makeup kit, allowing the shoot to continue without missing a beat.
